This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") gives our customers and users a clear understanding of what HostDango expects while using our services. All users — including those who access our services without an account and those who pay for a subscription — must comply with this AUP and our Terms of Service (TOS). Use of HostDango services constitutes acceptance of both documents. All payments to HostDango are non-refundable.
HostDango supports the uncensored flow of information and does not actively monitor subscriber activity under normal circumstances. However, we may remove materials that, in our sole discretion, are illegal, subject us to liability, or violate this AUP. We will cooperate with legal authorities in the investigation of any suspected crime or civil wrongdoing. Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or immediate termination of service without prior notice.

HostDango services may not be used for illegal purposes or in support of illegal activities. HostDango reserves the right to cooperate with legal authorities and/or injured third parties in the investigation of any suspected crime or civil wrongdoing.
Use of HostDango services to harm or attempt to harm minors in any way — including but not limited to child pornography — is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and referral to law enforcement.
Use of HostDango services to transmit any material that threatens or encourages bodily harm or destruction of property is prohibited.
Use of HostDango services to transmit any material that harasses another person is prohibited.
Use of HostDango services to make fraudulent offers to sell or buy products, items, or services, or to advance any type of financial scam — including pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, and chain letters — is prohibited.
Adding, removing, or modifying identifying network header information in an effort to deceive or mislead is prohibited. Attempting to impersonate any person by using forged headers or other identifying information is prohibited. The use of anonymous re-mailers or nicknames does not constitute impersonation.
Use of HostDango services to transmit any unsolicited commercial or bulk email is expressly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the offending account.
Important: Anyone hosting websites or services that support spammers or cause HostDango IP space to be listed in spam databases will have their service immediately removed from our network. The service will not be reconnected until all offending material is removed and confirmed removed. Severe violations result in permanent removal without notice. A second violation will result in immediate and permanent removal.
HostDango offers Reseller Hosting packages for those who wish to resell hosting accounts. Standard hosting accounts with Add-on Domains may not be used as a reselling vehicle. All domains on a standard hosting account must be 100% owned and operated by the account holder. Accounts found reselling standard hosting will be terminated without refund. Malicious intent to impede another person's use of electronic mail or news services will result in immediate termination of the offending account.
Forging any message header, in part or whole, of any electronic transmission originating or passing through HostDango services is a violation of this AUP.
HostDango has a zero tolerance policy for the use of its network for posting messages or commercial advertisements that violate the rules, regulations, FAQ, or charter of any newsgroup or mailing list. Commercial messages that are appropriate under the rules of a newsgroup or mailing list and solicited by recipients are permitted.
HostDango servers are not to be used as relay servers. Such use will be deemed a violation of this AUP.
Use of HostDango services to access or attempt to access the accounts of others, or to penetrate or attempt to penetrate security measures of HostDango or another entity's computer software, hardware, electronic communications system, or telecommunications system — whether or not the intrusion results in corruption or loss of data — is expressly prohibited and subject to immediate account termination.
Use of HostDango services to transmit any material that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any third party is prohibited. This includes unauthorized copying of copyrighted material, digitization and distribution of photographs from magazines or books, and unauthorized transmittal of copyrighted software.
Use of HostDango services to collect, or attempt to collect, personal information about third parties without their knowledge or consent is prohibited.
Use of HostDango services for any activity that affects the ability of other people or systems to use HostDango or the internet is prohibited. This includes denial-of-service (DoS) attacks against another network host or individual user. It is the subscriber's responsibility to ensure their network is configured securely and cannot be used by third parties for illegal or inappropriate actions.
Fraud involves a knowing misrepresentation or misleading statement, writing, or activity made with the intent that the person receiving it will act upon it. This is prohibited on HostDango services.
Distribution or posting of content that infringes any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right is prohibited.
Intentional distribution of software that attempts to or causes damage, harassment, or annoyance to persons, data, or computer systems is prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
Use of software or any device that facilitates a sustained automated connection — such as continuous pinging — while using HostDango services may result in suspension of service.
HostDango subscribers are responsible and accountable for any activity by third parties using their account that violates this AUP.
Hosting pornographic content or IRC servers on Virtual Server accounts is absolutely forbidden. Accounts found hosting this material are subject to immediate cancellation without refund.
Hosting an IRC server that is part of or connected to another IRC network or server is absolutely forbidden. Servers found connecting to or part of such networks will be immediately removed without notice. The server will not be reconnected until all traces of the IRC server are removed and confirmed removed. A second violation results in immediate account termination.
Streaming video and audio is not permitted on shared hosting accounts. Content intended for streaming must be compressed before hosting. This restriction does not apply to VPS, VDS, or dedicated server accounts. All hosted content must be legal and free of third-party copyright.
Egg Drop scripts are not permitted on any account. Discovery of such scripts is grounds for immediate account deletion without refund.
Content that is not legal under the laws of the United States is not permitted on HostDango servers. Sites found hosting unlawful content will be suspended immediately.
Adult material is not allowed on any HostDango account. Accounts found containing adult material will be suspended and/or cancelled without refund.
Applications that place excessive demands on shared server resources are not permitted on shared hosting accounts. If your application requires substantial CPU or memory resources to function properly, it requires a VPS, VDS, or dedicated server. Accounts found running resource-intensive applications on shared hosting may be suspended, and an administrative fee may be assessed if the application caused server overload. You are responsible for any misuse of your account, even if the inappropriate activity was committed by a friend, family member, guest, or employee. You must take steps to ensure that others do not gain unauthorized access to your account.
